Description

Aboriginal people have a rich cultural heritage, with stories about the ocean playing a vital role. One prominent tale is that of the Rainbow Serpent, a powerful being believed to have created oceans, rivers and waterways.

This massive serpent is said to have roamed the oceans, shaping the coastal landscapes and controlling the weather and sea creatures.

Life under the sea, where whales glide through deep blue waters and where turtles feast on jellyfish.

The colours in the painting reflect the colours of the Rainbow Serpent. This story remains significant in Aboriginal culture, expressed through art, song, and dance.
