Description

Sid was deeply moved by the colours of the land: the jagged red rocks, the winding creeks and rivers, and the shifting light across Country. One powerful moment was visiting a water spring cared for by the Elder’s family, where stories of the land were shared—stories that brought the landscape to life.

This painting captures Sid’s first impressions—his sense of wonder, respect, and connection to Kalkadoon Country. It’s a visual memory of that journey, and a tribute to the land and its people.
