Unusual villa scene in the Venetian canals, The building exhibits canal walls with extensive open spaces revealing an inner courtyard with fountain and tree. A commanding feature of the work is the complexity of the ironwork that combines both protective and aesthetic aspects. The work illustrates much of what attracts people to canal wandering or boating. The inner cloisters show Byzantine Romanesque colonnade influences, and the central corridor connects to a distant courtyard
