Description

Limited Edition – 5 only

Riffing off the Charles and Ray Eames’ 1977 short film, Powers Of Ten, where changes in scale by the power of ten are investigated. I overlayed different line styles within a square. First ten parallel lines to the square, then one hundred lines then one thousand. I did this several times varying colours and line shapes, before pulling them out of their square constraints so that they formed a large single rectangular composition. I chose a bright palette of primary colours and achieved a dynamic composition where interference patterns add an extra dimension and plenty of drama.
