Number THREE in the On The Box series of still life works. The series ended up at sixteen with some originals gifted hence we start at number three here.
The BOX itself was a Taubmans paints box set up on a stool. This work features fat red chilies from my garden and a host of textures. That was the main brief here. Textures and technique. The airbrush shines in all the still life work, soft, airy and delivering everything I asked of it and I tried to make the apples as nice as I could, just like you could reach in and grab one and bite it.
