Description
This third painting in the Spirit of the Trees series brings to life the mysterious Min Min light, a phenomenon deeply connected to Mount Isa and Kalkadoon Country.
The artwork imagines what the trees might have witnessed as silent guardians of the land—how they’ve seen the glow of the Min Min drifting through the night, and felt the presence of Spirit moving through Country. This story has always fascinated me. Since I was young, I’ve been intrigued by the mystery of the Min Min light and the way it stirs the imagination and connects us to something beyond the physical world.
In this piece, the glow represents not only the light itself but the unseen energy and knowledge held within the land. It continues the journey of Spirit, carried through trees, stories, and the deep silence of Country.
