Description
I am drawn to the warm coloured sand and the sandstone rocks, contrasting with the cool shadows and turquoise water. In that pause, I feel a sense of calm settle within me. Painting becomes my way of holding onto that stillness—of returning to it—and offering that same sense of quiet reflection to others. Weather-shaped rocks, symbols of strength, remain recurring motifs in my artwork.
In stillness, I paint from what I sense—the gentle give of sand, the hush of salty air, and a lone seagull resting beside worn rocks. Using oils, I seek to hold that quiet moment, where everything feels paused, and the shoreline breathes in calm, unspoken rhythm.
