On a repurposed textured surface, I attempted to portray two merged images. One, the vase of flowers inside, and two, the reflection outside. revealing two canal boats (the background boat having a group of people having a meal),  but also bicyclists and buildings in Amsterdam. At times, I worked to minimise the textured patterns of the original canvas, but other times I allowed the texture to take on a narrative all its own.
