I had just been to Queen Mary Falls which was in full flight with recent rains where I took a few photos facing into the water. The energy of the water plumes as they fell formed a veil that became my jumping off point for this piece – isolating and repeating the watery lines and droplets then mixing them in with photos of the local landscape and vegetation, before adding some misty layers of shapes for structure. A simplified layer of pink shapes  imitating the shapes of the falling droplets and their spreading motions was finally added.
