On walks into Brisbane I pass by ‘pods’ of parked motorcycles. I find them beautiful  – streamlined, full of potential energy and very personal. They hold an edgyness that caught my attention and had me putting down layers of motorcycle detail photos and blurry shapes, layered with truncated gothic letterforms, then sharp and jaggy line work around a core of three wheel shapes. All in an attempt to capture their vibrant energy. The image is almost monochrome to unite the collage of elements.
