Description
As a child I had an exceptionally playful imagination, however, as I grew older I began to sense that this part of me was slipping away. This painting represents the desire to grab onto playful imagination and not let it go.
As I created this piece, I was conscious of how I represented the boys surroundings, I wanted it to capture the memory of childhood, rather then childhood itself. In looking back I never quite remember things exactly as they are, instead I remember them with a haze of longing for simpler times. I attempted to convey this with the paintings colour palette by limiting the range I used.
