Description

Open Edition Reproduction

Chincha the Jaguar is shown in a resting moment on his "throne" – a large rocky platform against a background of jungle green.

The black rosettes on his fur coat provide effective camouflage amongst leaves dappled by patches of light. In length, the male Jaguar's head and body can measure up to nearly six feet, and the tail to about 30 inches.

With appreciative thanks to Paul Fine for permission to use his photograph of Chincha the Jaguar, as a reference for the creation of original artwork.
