While walking, I’m drawn to the verandah lights cutting through the darkness, creating new shadow play from Architectural features. This Cottage, not far from my own, is in a very quiet, narrow street of Rosalie, Brisbane inner City. ‘Bluey’s house’ is close by. I passed this cottage again recently and the palm was gone and the view had opened up. What had attracted me to the subject, forever changed. The views I paint of inner City Brisbane often feel fleeting.
