The serenity of sunrise over Lake Nillahcootie.
Bare fingers of trees reach up from still waters, linking land and sky as the day awakes with a golden sunrise. The sun crests distant hills, and a beacon of light races across the lake, making striking silhouettes of the trees, and revealing pelicans quietly paddling on the water with scarcely a ripple. A few late comers are gliding in to join them.
It reminds me that each sunrise offers renewal, inviting me to pause, notice, and align myself with the rhythm of the natural world.
