This is one in a series of three acrylic florals I painted for an exhibition in memory of my sister and father. Joeys Rose” is of most significance as it is of the “Just Joey” variety of the rose family and my sisters’ name was often affectionately shortened to Joey. I have a bush growing near my front door with quite large magnificent blooms and the petals change colour as they age.”
