Fairy wrens flit their way through beautiful iris blooms. Gardens can hold all sorts of mysteries, and play host to all kinds of visitors. Inspired by memories of my grandmother’s wild, untamed and enchanting garden, I drew this artwork in an attempt to capture the life within. Towered over by tall and luscious green stems, a trio of fairy wrens flit and fly their way through a maze of deep blue and indigo iris flowers. Hiding in shadows, before bursting through to sunlight, they dance through in a flurry of colour and incessant chatter.
