I love the notion of capturing movement in my paintings, and the idea of where it is, where it was, where it will be. Those flight trails tell the story of just how much I wish I was able to fly, and how enraptured I am with a Queensland sky full of wheeling, screeching parrots. There was a year I spent most of my creative time with my head in the clouds, wondering exactly how I would ever paint well enough to capture that populous sky.
