Description

Avril is a character I developed for a screenplay. She owns and operates a travellers cafe/restaurant/art gallery in French Colonial North Africa.

When Avril’s beautiful daughter falls in love with an itinerant artist, Avril recognises his genius and offers him an opportunity to display some of his works in her gallery.

I sent a framed Limited Edition of this image to my sister Lorraine and she commented that it looked like a good friend of hers who had passed away recently.

Funny how we are impelled to do some things. Do we choose our friends because they mirror the attributes we ourselves aspire to and/or are admired for?
