Currently living in the historic town of Maryborough, Queensland, Nicola is enjoying the challenge of entering National portrait competitions and has been working in acrylic on canvas. Her highly expressive signature style of showing great freedom with control, conveying raw emotion within a structured composition, always with an emphasis on the eyes and working in layers to build up depth and complexity. A love of mark making and pattern is also evident in Nicola’s work.
