Winter Hedge

Limited Edition Reproduction – 100 Only

Small birds in their sheltered environment. All the collage pieces on this watercolour paper base have a linear element that helps describe the twigs in the shrubbery. It’s fascinating how birds can disappear in to bushes and trees. Even since I was small I have conjured up images of them going about the chores of staying alive while hidden from view.

Winter Slumber

Hydrangeas are my favourite blooms.  Whether in bud, bloom or dried and showing all seasonal hues, their structure, form and space boast nature’s talents.  I grow all colours and loved exaggerating the blossoms and their tones with oil on canvas.

Winter Silence

Limited Edition Reproduction of 200

Alder trees in a low- lying part of a German forest. The air is very still, the snow hushing every sound, even the birds are quiet. A pale sun sends its last rays for that day before a long and cold night.

Winter Morning

Limited Edition Reproduction of 200

Farmland near Armidale in New South Wales. It was a frosty night and the mist lingers until a rosy sun dissolves it and lets it rise to the sky. A dreamlike and enchanting scene.

Winter Drops

Limited Edition Reproduction of 100 Only
The inspiration for this artwork was the condensation under a glass saucepan lid. I was intrigued by the colours, reflections and shapes. The original is Coloured Pencil and Acrylic paint and I just let the shapes flow and take me on a little journey.

Wild Horse Winter

Limited Edition Reproduction of 50 Only
The remote places in this planet are the safest places for wild horses, but they come with challenges. Brumbies and Wild Horses are remote and reclusive. It’s in their DNA like most wild animals. It brings about the exciting challenge of capturing their image in photographs and in paintings and drawings and requires a keenness in the photo hunter that leads them out into the wild in all weather and all conditions.

When Winter Came to City Hall II

Limited Edition Reproduction of 50 Only

The figures of early settler Andrew Petrie and his horse appear to be taking off on any icy adventure towards City Hall. I love to capture views of common or shared places from slightly different angles – to entice the viewer and tell a unique story. The commemorative sculpture 'The Petrie Tableau', in King George Square, never looked so good beside this field of white!

When Winter Came to City Hall I

Limited Edition Reproduction of 50 Only

I loved the effect of a sheet of bright ice lying in front of the city's most recognisable building, flanked by subtropical palms! What a contrast. In recent years the installation of a temporary ice-skating rink has been a feature of the mid year school holidays. And oh how it transformed King George Square! Bright Queensland sunshine and cool shadows against pearly white ice. Wish it could stay there all year round…

This artwork offers the versatility to be rotated to complement your unique interior design. ‘Winter Garden’ also pairs beautifully with my similar artwork ‘Blue Glory’.
