Spring

Observing how easily the butterfly blends with the flow of the bush to connect with the bamboo. Such a tranquil scene. Over the years l have painted various butterflies and landscape scenes with Chinese Watercolours. They are always a form of meditation whilst creating such peaceful subjects.

Colourful Spring

Flowers intertwine and overlap, creating a fresh green and harmonious scene. The contrasting colours, ranging from vibrant reds and oranges to beautiful blues and purples, creates a visual symphony.
A versatile artwork that can effortlessly enhance any space, be it a cozy living room, a serene bedroom, or an inviting hallway.

Blooming Spring

‘Blooming Spring’ captures the delicate beauty of fresh Hydrangea flowers in a glass vase. The painting features a range of soft and subtle colours, including light greens, blues and pinks.

The Hydrangea flowers in the painting are depicted fully bloomed, creating a sense of life in the painting.

‘Blooming Spring’ would make a beautiful addition to any interior design style. The delicate subject matter makes it a perfect piece for a hallway, bedroom, or living room, adding a touch of natural beauty and tranquility to any space.

Spring Awakening

Hydrangeas are my favourite blooms.  Whether in bud, bloom or dried, and showing all seasonal hues, their structure, form and space boast nature’s talents. I grow all colours and loved  exaggerating the blossoms and their colours with oil on canvas.

Spring Colours Out Back of Kata Tjuta

Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang. Signed on the front.

The Red Centre: we all expect, and love, the russet reds, ochres, and sage greens against an endless blue sky vista. But in the spring of last year, I was excited to see the addition of many other shades of green overlaying that characteristic sight. The bright yellow of the flowering Mulga trees with their white trunks stand vibrantly against the blue-grey of saltbush. The straw yellow of the spinifex (so deceptively inviting!) is the most unusual of greens… Nature puts on one hell of a spring show in the outback: truly a feast for the eyes, where you least expect it!

This piece is painted with professional artist quality paint, on professional-grade canvas stretched over a quality frame, and finished with a light varnish for protection.
All edges are gallery-wrapped, so artwork can hang without a frame if desired.

The in situ artwork scale is approximate. The original measures 50(H) x 40(W)

If this piece ticks all the boxes but isn’t quite the right size, FINE ART REPRODUCTIONS are available.

And if you love my style: check out my profile! I work intuitively so there are lots of surprises there!

Spring Colours of the Outback – Kata Tjuta

Limited Edition – 100 only

Having been to our outback before, I was expecting those stunning blue blue skies – red red earth vistas when traveling to Uluru and Kata Tjuta in August last year. But what I was not expecting was the stunning spring show of colour that was on display. New to me were the many shades of green, and many native blossoms, colourfully delicate yet oh so robust, uniquely adapted to the harsh climate they thrived in.

When creating this piece, I intuitively found myself channelling the colours of this landscape in spring. The red red rocks. The skies that go forever. The bright yellow of the flowering mulga trees. The blue-grey of saltbush, white trunks of the gums, the straw yellow of the spinifex… All vibrant, spring in the outback is a feast for the eyes.

Nature puts on one hell of a show – and if you can’t make it there yourself, then here it is, for you to savour. Spring Colours of the Outback – Kata Tjuta.

Spring Burst

Limited Edition – 250

The piece embodies Cox’s loose floral artistry. The semi-abstract Spring Burst evolved from her subconscious to depict the chaos of florals jostling, bursting with spring colour. The piece developed through layers of translucent acrylic paint, applied using a variety of techniques.

The process was prolonged, as the ‘work in progress’ sat prominently in Cox’s studio where each layer could be deliberated over. The finished piece, with its flurry of vague floral motifs, poignantly provides calm respite from a chaotic world.

Spring Splendour: Golden Wattle

Limited Edition Reproduction of 250 Only

The wattle display this year has been glorious in Brisbane; I couldn’t resist creating an artwork that captured their riotous cascading blossoms. The result is a magnificent semi-abstract "Spring Splendour" – an intoxicating piece aglow with green, gold and turquoise.
