Orange Movement

The outline of Scotts Point has diminished over the time I have been living on the Redcliffe Peninsula, through erosion. “orange Movement” refers to this decline, and the colours add to the sense of a shifting landscape.

Orange Trinity

Limited Edition Reproduction – 100 Only

Three birds on a collaged surface. A collagraph print is the basis for this collage and the birds are arranged in a triangle to form the composition. Bright touches of orange bring the blue painting to life.

Orange Hills

Limited Edition Reproduction – 100 Only

Low lying hills beneath a hot sky. The smooth surface of the hot blue sky contrasts with the textured foreground.

Orange and Lemon

Limited Edition Reproduction – 100 only

Orange and Lemon is a play on words derived from a popular childhood game, where we “all fall down”. The Artist has painted the Lemon with a singular attention to detail, creating a need in the viewer to reach out and touch the fruit to ascertain its reality (or otherwise).  By creating a focus on a singular fruit, the Artist has pared back to the very basics of what makes the lemon sing. In this case, it is the electric golden colour of the fruit, which has then been perfectly paired with the brightest of oranges.

"Orange Preserve" is the second in my ‘Preserve’ series. It reminds us to cherish our world and preserve it, whilst capturing the beauty of juicy sweet oranges, ready to be preserved as a tasty marmalade. Nothing better than hot buttered toast and marmalade! This picture will bring a warm, welcoming and homely feel to that special place in your home.

The original "Orange Preserve" was painted in Winsor and Newton Artists’ Quality Oil paints for the most vibrant finish. Owning a ‘Julie Cane’ enables you to forever enjoy something you love, and to experience the highest quality, collectible fine art enriching your home. My art features in many collections around the world, including England, USA and Australia. This piece would make a great investment for the home or office.

Oranges and Lemons in a crystal bowl.

Open Edition Reproduction

I painted this picture directly from the fruit in a crystal vase on a table under my house at Anthony St., Ascot. I loved the warm orange colour, contrasting with the cooler lemon colour. I enhanced both colours with a beautiful neutral blue-orange wash in the background. An orange frame then completed the work which is hanging at home in Hendra.

Citrus All Sort

Citrus Allsort is a joyful celebration of Brisbane’s iconic Queenslanders nestled within a lush, patchwork landscape of colour. This painting bursts with clusters of citrus-toned blossoms and dotted foliage.

A lively mix of architectural styles steps down the canvas: classic timber Queenslanders, gabled cottages and character-filled verandahs, each painted in delicious “allsort” colours that echo the sweetness of childhood lollies. Pops of citrus yellow, mandarin orange, grapefruit pink and lime green lead the eye through the painting, creating visual pathways that dance between the houses like sunlight through the suburban streets.

In the distance, the silhouette of the city rises above the Brisbane River and the treetops of New Farm Park.

Autumn Blaze

Autumn Blaze abstract forest painting with vivid orange and yellow trees, red sky, and vibrant water reflections by Juanita Sanganithy.

Autumn Blaze was created using palette knives and sponges and the most fiery reds and oranges I could get my hands on.
