I took Art as a subject at Armidale College of Advanced Education, but, I am basically self-taught. Initially, working in water colour, moving to oils, and more recently discovering the joy of acrylics. I love the contrast between the light and shade of an image, while getting immersed the multitude of hues emerging from the image.
I loved leaning to draw and used the book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” as the basis for leaning. I spend most time painting, but, wood carving, small jewellery boxes and large installations are also part of my repertoire. I now live on Macleay Island, in Morton Bay in Southern Queensland, with my partner Faye, who is also an artist.
