From a very early age the fascination for creating had led to a self taught diversification and experimentation in many different forms of art and crafts.
With travel, a busy life, two children, and working as a RN (Nurse), Adult Education at TAFE College offered night school for three years of studio ceramics and one year of Sculpture.
After wheel work was no longer possible, a local high school offered one year of Adult Education, attending Art classes at high school for years grade eleven and twelve.
This experience opened a new world of information on the history of Art, Artists and their work. Practical work led to the realization of the underlying structure, composition and different elements of visual arts.
Having a wonderful teacher and the interaction with fellow students added a person touch that books could not provide.
The Water colour society also offered workshops, and a different practical insight into the techniques of some very talented artists.
Having a watercolour oil and acrylic background, has now encouraged me to experiment with the relatively new and versatile medium of fluid and flow acrylics.
The unpredictable outcome, the variety of techniques, and the organic nature of this medium, has now inspired me to express my creativity in an abstract and contrasting flow of colour.
