“Remembering” is a powerful piece inviting us to remember ourselves as nature. It invites us to recover the wisdom we hold deep inside of us and to open ourselves to greater levels of compassion for other beings.
It represents the sense of Oneness we can share and the way that we can be blessed with the power and perspective of different beings at any point along our journey if we choose to open up to them and to pay greater attention.
The spirit of the wolf depicted in the artwork represents being deeply rooted in and connected to the Earth; remaining awake throughout the journey of this life – attuned to the physical environment through all of our senses and ready to respond and create with Life.
The spirit of the bird represents freedom, flexibility and lightness of being; maintaining a broad perspective on life or “birds eye view”. It speaks of our connection to the air and to the sacred breath that sustains life.
The moon represents our connection to the stars, to space and the wider Universe; as well as cycles of time and the larger forces that provide the context of our experience as human beings on Earth.
The vibrant rainbow dot work applied with wax pencils, representing nature and the Ether are visible in the face of the human form who is experiencing the remembering and sense of oneness.
The original artwork formed the basis for the black and white digitally produced cover artwork for Lara-Jane's recent single, “Wherever You Wander”, a song of blessing for nature-lovers and adventurous spirits:
"Wherever you wander my friend, may the sun light your way as you go, and may the earth gently welcome you home."" (Lara-Jane Stewart)
