One of Australia’ foremost established outback artists Jenny Greentree has been a professional artist for 16 years. Jen’s art is inspired by the rich Australian outback scenery and Jen has worked from her own gallery for 14 years. The Back O’ Bourke Gallery is situated on the banks of the Darling River at North Bourke, 5km north of the legendary Australian town of Bourke in outback NSW. This working commercial gallery is a must see gallery on the ‘outback gallery loop’ from Lightning Ridge to Broken Hill and original works and reproductions have found homes around Australia and overseas.
Living on the banks of the Darling River quite literally out the Back O’ Bourke provides continual inspiration for Jen who uses pastels in a style that is detailed, fresh and crisp, manipulating pure colours, line and tone to capture the extraordinary images of the Australian Outback that she experiences on a daily basis. “I like to capture the rugged beauty, unusual scenes and fleeting moments that people would usually miss unless they are living in the outback,” Jen says. “I want others to enjoy the beautiful and amazing things that leave me in awe of the One who created them.”
Jen has painted and sold hundreds of originals as well as having over eighty of these originals in limited edition reproductions.
