This painting reminded me a great deal of my childhood. It was spent exploring and there were bull rushes, trees and streams. It reminds me of capturing that fleeting moment in life where everything for one moment is good and beautiful and perfect but like seasons it changes. I

have titled this poem from the lines of the Robert Frost poem ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’ ‘

Nature’s first green is gold
It’s hardest hue to hold.’

It captures that moment where everything falls into place. I’m sure you have felt those times in life where everything was just almost perfect. That’s what this image reminds me of. The change between seasons when green changes to gold and life changes and in that one moment life is beautiful!
