Chris Huber

The diversity in Australian vistas provides endless fascination, from the harsh beauty of desolate arid lands to the majesty of wild flowing rivers after rainy season and to quaint rural cottages and life on the land. I am equally moved by Europe’s cracked frescoes on ancient walls, mediaeval hilltop farmhouses, and tiny seaside fishing villages.

These varied influences, together with a love of interior design, architecture and varied textures have shaped my technique to create truly unique artworks that cross genres. I feel it is this versatility that led my works to be represented in private and corporate collections all over the world. Many of my original paintings have been reproduced in print and on calendars, cards and other collector and gift items sold nationally and internationally.

Whilst my peak exhibition years were in the seventies to nineties, and despite closing my gallery in 2011, I maintain strong links with the Australian art community and have embraced the online platform via my website.
