Description
This artwork was created as my interpretation of yin and yang—the delicate balance between opposing energies that cannot exist without one another.
The sun and moon represent light and darkness, while the wave and warm landscape symbolise water and fire. The tree stands as a reminder of growth, resilience, and our connection to nature. Together, these elements form a single profile, illustrating how seemingly opposite forces are not in conflict, but part of a greater whole.
At its heart, this piece explores the relationship between masculine and feminine energy, strength and softness, logic and intuition. It is a reflection on the idea that balance is not found by choosing one side over the other, but by learning to honour both.
Rather than existing as separate forces, they shape, support, and define one another—just as day gives meaning to night, and stillness gives meaning to movement.
This piece invites the viewer to reflect on their own inner landscape and the harmony that can be found within contrast.
