Untamed

Description

While travelling through this Wet Tropics world heritage area our family were mesmerised by the network of stunning waterfalls.

In painting ‘Untamed’, the momentum of the rush of waters tumbling over the rugged rocks, against the stillness and tranquility of the surrounding greenery reminded me that moments of upheaval are often the beginning of transformation, and that growth often emerges from turbulence.

‘Untamed’ captures the tension between momentum and stillness, and the quiet power of release that leads to renewal.(Photo reference Bec Ashton.)
