Description
Limited Edition Reproduction of 30 Only
A fossil (Cretaceous) aquatic snail. I am continually entertained by this little English fossil. A Cretaceous, aquatic snail (gastropod). It bioturbated (burrowed), gorged and regurgitated food from lake floor muds. Through wet and dry seasons it survived to rise again and again. A small but beautiful creature that now graces the internal decor of many an English Pub, Cathedral or Medievil Grand Mansion (“Purbeck Black Marble”).
