This painting captures my memory of the serene charm of Riomaggiore’s harbor in early spring, with fishing boats resting on the boat ramp.  What I loved about painting this town, were the consistent combinations of striped canopies amongst bursts of red and aquamarine, and the interplay of warm and cool colours against the rustic textures of stone walls and cobbled streets.
