In the rainforests of New Guinea the male birds of paradise enliven the lush landscape with intensely coloured plumage displays to attract a mate. This image combines abstracted male bird and human forms in an inevitable comparison of mating displays. There were numerous challenges in this image where feather textures wrap around human forms and are interspersed with forest trees and leaves. The very bottom layer of texture is composed of several rainforest photographs in a  green monochrome montage.
