Description
I began this work without deciding on a title. It often happens. I had done all the drawings, photo resource, layout and even started putting paint to canvas. Orpheus & Eurydice was pure happenstance. I’d read the story, Greek Mythology, a somewhat fateful and torrid tale which I thought fitted the sensibility and setting I’d created.
There was no underlying emotive reason, or quasi-religious narrative nor homage to some previous painting or famous artist. I have no idea where the spark that ignites my imagination springs from. It just does. And Orpheus & Eurydice is the result.
