Description
The Salute attracts admirers from all over because of its rotunda-and-dome architectural style, and its site in the Grand Canal across from San Marco. Within, great artists including Titian and Tintoretto have created some of the world’s great pieces, and from without, other greats have likewise worked to create compelling imagery. Venice during the day can be a noisy place, but in the evening, a hush allows more leisurely appreciation.
