I love this scene, which at first looks so peaceful; however, after paying a little more attention, there is a depth to it. The awareness that shares time and space with relaxation. The scars are proof of a harsh and testing life. The strength in numbers with friends and family. The seemingly pleasurable routine that makes up the essence of survival. Do you see it? I am deeply indebted to the truly amazing photographers who trek through the wilderness to capture these images and who are so kind as to allow me to use them as a reference.
