Description
Limited Edition – 100 only
On a recent trip to Belfast, I came upon this all-chrome food van on Clarendon Dock, where the Titanic cruise ship was built. My attention was drawn to it because of the reflections upon it. I have been focusing many of my recent artworks on the images produced by reflections, whether they be on chrome, glass, or water. In this painting, the scene was distorted due to the undulating surfaces that the nearly all chrome van was constructed of (only the wiring and the tail lights are ‘real’). The geometric objects become organic as they dance across the surface; the only element that is not new is colour.
