Description
My nephews danced along the shoreline and ran through the sand at Alexandra Headland—the first Australian beach they had ever experienced. I loved watching the sun setting to the west, casting a warm, golden glow across the sand and over the boys. I wanted to capture in paint, that fleeting moment of pure joy—two children fully immersed in the simple delight of the sand and sea. I used loose strokes to depict the furrows of sand shaped by many passing feet, highlighted where the light touched. The delicate curved ripples in the water drew me in. This painting holds a deep sense of home, family, and connection.
