A small haul from Northey St Markets

It’s a warm afternoon in Spring Hill, Brisbane. My brother and sister-in-law live in an apartment with a large outdoor courtyard where the light slants in on these amazing angles. They’ve just been to the Northey St markets so there’s some fresh produce in a little box. Their cat, Nikko, is curious and does a full investigation of the veggies and then sits in the sun next to them having a bit of a bath. There’s the sound of sirens and a slight breeze blowing. 

If you haven’t been to the Northey St Markets, think of a typical Australian markets and then add in some shady Moreton Bay Fig trees, chickens clucking about and lots of people wearing hemp.
