Alison Greenway

An artist with her own unique style has been painting and exhibiting for over 20 years, painting pictures, ceramic vases, pots and textiles. She has held a number of Solo Exhibitions at Regional Galleries and private galleries; Alison’s paintings have been featured in the Artlink Magazine, on The ABC 7.30 Report, and appeared in articles in numerous newspapers over the years.

Other highlights in Alison’s art career include exhibitions at Greenhill Galleries – Adelaide, Anvil Gallery and Avoca Fine Arts Gallery NSW, Libby Edwards Gallery – Victoria, Broken Hill Regional Gallery, and her paintings have been featured in David Jones stores during the Floriade Festival – Sydney and Canberra. Alison has won awards at both the Tamworth Regional Gallery art competition and the Rosalie Shire – Darling Downs competition.

Alison has lived in a number of cities throughout Australia but has resided in Queensland in the Darling Downs region for close to 20 years, she enjoys combining both country lifestyle with modern city conveniences.

Her style of art has been described sometimes as whimsical; creating her own genre with vivid and colourful floral images, jungle themes and she sometimes creates artwork with a strong African flavour.  Alison typically paints straight onto the canvas, relying solely on her imagination, passion and current sources of inspiration.

Awards and Recognition

Alison has won awards at both the Tamworth Regional Gallery art competition and the Rosalie Shire – Darling Downs competition.
